PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sterilizing and washing small fishes or others while eliminating excess and deficiency of a sterilizer and regularly and appropriately maintaining sterilization effect by subjecting raw material small fish to sterilization and washing treatment using a sterilizer spraying nozzle before a boiling process while grasping the consumed quantity of the sterilizer, and efficiently promoting oxidative decomposition of the sterilizer by heat-treatment of the raw material small fish after spraying the sterilizer, thereby absolutely preventing residue of the sterilizer in the product, improving the quality of the product and preventing damage of the natural environment caused by waste water.
SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for sterilizing and washing small fish or the like, in a boiling treatment of the raw material small fish comprise spray of the sterilizer of an amount necessary for sterilizing the raw material small fish through the sterilizer spraying nozzle to the raw material small fish before processing by boiling, and promotion of oxidative decomposition of the sterilizer.
