The apparatus (10) also has a clip pusher (400) configured to individually distally advance a surgical clip (300) to the jaw assembly (16) while the jaw portions are in the spaced apart position. The apparatus (10) also has an actuator at least partially disposed within the body (14) and longitudinally movable in response to actuation of the handle portion (12), and a lockout mechanism (56) with a first rotatable member (102) with a first shaft and a first arm (104) having a first pawl (106).
