PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subject information acquisition device using near infrared spectroscopy which removes influences of an intervening tissue.SOLUTION: The subject information acquisition device comprises light irradiation means for irradiating a subject having an intervening tissue on a surface layer thereof with light, light detection means for detecting the intensity of light having penetrated through the intervening tissue and propagated in the subject and converting it into a first signal, acoustic wave reception means for detecting an acoustic wave generated in the intervening tissue caused by the irradiated light and converting it into a second signal, signal processing means for obtaining optical related information which is information related to optical characteristics of the intervening tissue on the basis of the second signal, and signal correction means for correcting the first signal on the basis of the optical related information and removing influences of the intervening tissue from the first signal.【課題】近赤外分光法を用いた被検体情報取得装置において、介在組織の影響を除去する。【解決手段】介在組織を表層に有する被検体に対して光を照射する光照射手段と、前記介在組織を透過して前記被検体内を伝搬した光の強度を検出し、第一の信号に変換する光検出手段と、前記照射された光に起因して前記介在組織内で発生した音響波を検出し、第二の信号に変換する音響波受信手段と、前記第二の信号に基づいて、前記介在組織の光学特性に関連した情報である光学関連情報を取得する信号処理手段と、前記光学関連情報に基づいて前記第一の信号を補正し、前記第一の信号から前記介在組織の影響を除去する信号補正手段と、を有することを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
