The present invention relates to a brown algae extract, characterized in that it comprises less than 50 ppm of iodine and between 8 and 10% of polyphenols, said percentage of polyphenols being expressed in chlorogenic acid equivalent relative to the dry weight of the extract. The present invention also relates to an oral absorption composition comprising such an extract and a process for preparing the extract according to the invention.La présente invention concerne un extrait d'algues brunes, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte moins de 50 ppm d'iode et entre 8 et 10 % de polyphénols, ledit pourcentage de polyphénols étant exprimé en équivalent acide chlorogénique par rapport au poids sec de l'extrait.
