Proposed method is used to control the supply of crops to the market by controlling crop acreage. By the process of crop registration using unique code printed inside the seed packet and mobile phone, farmers sends unique code to SAG by using USSD/IVRS or SMS messaging technology, with which SAG prepares crop statistics which includes crop type, crop variety, crop area, total yield, yield time, market arrival time, geographic location of crop etc. Statistics of agricultural and horticultural crops can be prepared and demand forecast for agricultural and horticultural crops will be made on day to day basis, demand supply management of agricultural and horticultural crops can be done. Proposed method provides a facility to recognize uncertified/fake seed packets at the time of crop registration.
