The method embodied in the present invention comprises: detecting whether a user is monitoring planting equipment by means of VR equipment; if so, receiving planting equipment video information and planting equipment growing environment parameters sent by the planting equipment; sending the planting equipment video information and the planting equipment growing environment parameters to the user by means of a VR equipment screen; receiving user point of gaze information; according to the user point of gaze information, controlling the planting equipment. Also disclosed in embodiments of the present invention is a VR equipment-based planting equipment control apparatus, used to increase user operating convenience and use experience.
