PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of ensuring desired sealing performance of a sealing material by uniformly pressing the sealing material sealing a space between a magnetic field generation part of a magnetic seal mechanism and a support part of a reel body by a pole plate of the magnetic field generation part in a peripheral direction, and accordingly preventing deformation of the pole plate and ensuring desired magnetic seal performance of the magnetic seal mechanism.SOLUTION: A fishing reel includes an annular elastic seal material 169 sealing a space between a magnetic field generation part and a holding member as a support part of a reel body. A pole plate 152a of the magnetic field generation part is uniformly fastened and fixed to the holding member in a circumferential direction by three or more fastening members 139 while the elastic seal material 169 is interposed in the space with respect to the holding member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
