A surgical electrode assembly, comprising: an electrode device comprising electrodes (15, 16); a manipulating device (25); and electrode driving devices (17, 18) used for driving the electrodes (15, 16) to move. The manipulating device (25) comprising an actuating mechanism capable of actuating the electrode driving devices (17, 18). The actuating mechanism comprises a crank devices (4, 9), a sliding block device (10), and a damping device (11). The sliding block device (10) has a rest position and a working position, and if no external force is applied, the sliding block device (10) is located at the rest position due to the damping effect of the damping device (11). The sliding block device (10) is operatingly connected to the electrode driving devices (17, 18), and at the rest position of the sliding block device (20), the electrodes (15, 16) are distant from each other. An operator can apply an acting force to the crank devices (4, 9) and push the sliding block device (10) by means of the crank devices (4, 9), and the sliding device (10) can thus overcome the damping effect of the damping device (11) to move toward the working position, thereby driving the electrodes (15, 16) of the electrode device to move close to each other.
