PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defibrillation catheter which can insert the applied part of the first DC electrode group in a blood vessel such as the coronary sinus so as to position the first DC electrode group in the designated part in the blood vessel, and can indwell the second DC electrode group to be positioned in the part just before the blood vessel, without inserting the applied part of the second DC electrode group in the blood vessel.SOLUTION: The defibrillation catheter includes an insulating tube 10, a handle 20, a first DC electrode group 31G composed of one or more ring-like electrodes 31 attached to distal end portion of the tube 10, and a second DC electrode group 32G composed of one or more ring-like electrodes 32. The defibrillation catheter executes defibrillation in the heart chamber by applying voltage with mutually different polarities between the first DC and second DC electrode groups 31G and 32G.
