PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact ion generator which generates a large amount of ions.SOLUTION: An ion generator (1) includes needle-like electrodes (2, 3) for generating positive ions and negative ions respectively, a protective cover (6) provided so as to cover the needle-like electrodes (2, 3), and two partition walls (8, 9) provided at a predetermined interval between the needle-like electrodes (2, 3).
