PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which an absorbent pad inserted inside is hardly displaced and follows a movement of a crotch part when a wearer moves, and which can be used as an outer.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises an absorber 3 and a three-dimensional gather 41, and a separate absorbent pad 100 is disposed on an upper part of a surface sheet 1 in a thickness direction. The three-dimensional gather has a standing end and a free end. At the free end, a plurality of three-dimensional gather elastic bodies 71 along a longer direction are fixed in a stretched state so as to form an upper pressing area. On both sides of the absorber, between the absorber and a rear surface sheet, there are a plurality of absorber gather elastic bodies 73. The absorber gather elastic bodies are fixed in a stretched state over an entire longer direction of an intermediate portion so as to form a lower pressing area. The standing end in a width direction is located in outer side than those located in the innermost side among the absorber gather elastic bodies. In an extended state, the width of the upper pressing area and width of the lower pressing area overlap in a plane view.
