Provided is a ripper capable of efficient gripping in a narrow space. A gripper is provided with a first arm (10L) and a second arm (10R) which can open and close about a supporting pin (10c) and configured so that opposing surfaces (12L,12R) formed by opening and closing the first and second arms (10L, 10R) forming the holding portion (12). The gripper is characterized in that a pair of clipping members (16L, 16R) is connected with the holding portion (12) of the first arm (10L) and the second arm (10R) so that the pair of clipping members (16L, 16R) can rotate about support points (16C) relative to the holding portion (12), and in that a rotation manipulation portion (17) is connected with the clipping members (16L, 16R) at a position offset from the support points (16c) and applies a displacement to the position to which the rotation manipulation portion (17) is connected.
