PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a care assist device which is relatively inexpensive and can be easily operated and installed.SOLUTION: A care assist device 10 comprises: a column 12 in which a guide rail 12a extending in a vertical direction is formed a lifting member 16 fitted to the guide rail 12a and moved along the guide rail 12a with respect to the column 12 an expansion part 20 which is a sealed hollow member fitted to the lifting member 16 and is expanded and contracted in an extending direction of the guide rail 12a according to pressure of a fluid delivered inside and a fluid supply part 18 for supplying the pressure of the fluid to the expansion part 20. By adjusting the pressure of the fluid supplied from the fluid supply part 18 to the expansion part 20, the lifting member 16 is lifted and lowered along the guide rail 12a in the vertical direction.
