A method is provided for generating an aerosol. The method includes preparing a solution formed of a first component in a liquid component such that after volatilization of the liquid component by passing the solution through a flow passage while heating the solution, an aerosol is formed having a predetermined particle size distribution of the first component, wherein the solution is prepared such that the amount of the first component therein is sufficient to achieve the predetermined particle size distribution of the first component. The method also includes passing the solution through the flow passage while heating the solution to a temperature sufficient to volatilize the liquid component, wherein the flow passage comprises an outlet through which the first component and the volatilized liquid component flow, and wherein an aerosol is formed.La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'aérosol. A cet effet, on commence par préparer une solution faite d'un premier composant dans un composant liquide. En l'occurrence, on volatilise le composant liquide en faisant passer la solution par un passage d'écoulement pendant qu'on chauffe la solution. Il se forme ainsi un aérosol caractérisé par une distribution définie des calibres particulaires du premier composant. La préparation de la solution fait que la quantité de premier composant dans la solution est suffisante pour obtenir la distribution définie des calibres particulaires du premier composant. Le procédé implique également de faire passer la solution par un passage d'écoulement tout en amenant par chauffage la solution à une température suffisante pour obtenir la volatilisation du composant liquide. Le passage d'écoulement se distingue en ce qu'il comporte un orifice de sortie par lequel s'écoulent le premier composant et le composant liquide volatilisé, et dans lequel se forme un aérosol.
