PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a battery pack for a hand-held outdoor charging type electric work machine from being exposed to rain, wind, dust, etc., and to prevent it from being subjected to impact from outside.SOLUTION: A hand-held outdoor charging type electric work machine 10 comprises: an electric motor 20 accommodated in a body casing 11； a to-be-driven member 23 which is driven by the electric motor 20； a battery pack 25 attached to the body casing 11 so as to be detachable and supply power to the electric motor 20； and handles 12, 13 provided on the body casing 11 and gripped by a worker. The machine is designed such that while the machine is kept lifted by a worker gripping the handles 12, 13, work is carried out with the to-be-driven member 23 driven by the electric motor 20.
