Vibration motor for an electric hand-held appliance provided with a first drive element, a second drive element and at least one spring element coupling the first drive element to the second drive element. In order to achieve many different forms of vibration, the at least one spring element is arranged such that the second drive element can oscillate in a first direction with a first resonance frequency and can oscillate in a second direction with a second resonance frequency. The first drive element is configured to generate a magnetic field that forces the second drive element in a drive direction, wherein the drive direction is not perpendicular to the first and second directions. The invention further relates to an electric hand-held appliance with such a vibration motor.
