Disclosed is a probiotics encapsulation system for enhancing the survival rate of probiotic cells during storage and during the oral administration to intestine, and for enhancing the adhering to intestinal wall, which comprises: 1) a plurality of microcapsules, each comprising a core comprising a number of probiotic bacteria, polysaccharide gel matrix, one or more additives, and a number of stabilising agents 2) a layer of non-enteric coating and 3) a further layer of enteric coating.
