The invention concerns a method for creating noise for a tinnitus test. According to the invention, tinnitus (noise heard only by the subject) can consist of a noise composed of two contiguous frequency envelopes on a maximum frequency. The method consists of creating, by means of a computer algorithm, the same type of sound as that which is heard, so as to quantify and qualify the tinnitus. The noise obtained in this way can be transmitted in order to test tinnitus.
