The present invention relates to liquid deodorant and deodorization method of box type toilet. Provided is a simple deodorization technique having excellent deodorization effect to dung or urine from the box type toilet. The technique is that the liquid deodorant which pH value is 1.0-6.0 is applied to the ordure box of the box type toilet, the liquid deodorant is characterized in that it contains (1) polyhydric phenol, (2) organic acid and (3) solvent composed of hydroxyl compound or hydroxyl compound and water for dissolving the polyhydric phenol and the organic acid. Furthermore, when anti-freezing fluid containing the liquid deodorant is used to wash, the anti-freezing fluid will not be freezed easily even in cold regions, such that the box type toilet may be used. The liquid deodorant is added with 0.1-10% of scenting agent by weight, and effect will be more excellent.
