The invention relates to a method of producing a population of cells comprising: transiently transforming a cell with nucleic acid arranged to promote cell expansion, wherein the nucleic acid is linked to a delivery vehicle for cell attachment and internalization, wherein the delivery vehicle comprises: a glycosaminoglycan (GAG) binding element, which is capable of binding to GAG on the surface of the cell and a protein transduction domain.
