SURFACE-TREATED POWDER AND WATER-DISPERSIBLE COSMETIC COMPOSITION USING THE SURFACE-TREATED POWDER AND O/W-TYPE COSMETIC COMPOSITION USING THE SURFACE-TREATED POWDER
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide surface-treated powder capable of preventing elution thereof into water while expressing physical properties of metal oxide provided as a base material (UV shielding ability, chemical stability due to being an inorganic material (not an organic compound)), which has been desired in the art.SOLUTION: The surface-treated power of the present invention comprises at least one oxide of a metal selected from zinc, titanium, silicon, and aluminum, the metal oxide being coated with a hydrophobizing agent and a polyether-modified silicone having a HLB level of 8 or greater. The water dispersible cosmetic composition of the present invention comprises the surface-treated powder of the present invention and a copolymer having a sulfur atom in a molecular skeleton thereof.
