A physiotherapist consultant performs a core set of exercises in the HumanPerformance Lab whilearound 70 reflective markers are attached to his body joints. A set of eightMotion Analysis camerasconcurrently capture a regular sampling of his joint parameters over time. After recording the raw datafor each exercise, the system extracts the skeletal structure of the characterfrom it. These skeletalanimations are later applied to a 3D human model to represent differentvisualizations. Therefore, somepost processing needs to be done on the skeletal avatar to visualize a skinnedhuman, its musclestructure and its nerve system. In addition, the geometric notion of the dataallows adding graphicaloverlays to the visualization such as showing the angles between joints orhighlighting the affectedmuscles.
