The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an antibacterial titanium implant. The method includes the following steps of: manufacturing electrolyte in which silver (Ag) nanoparticles are dispersed and performing a plasma electrolytic oxidation coating by setting a titanium implant in the electrolyte in which the silver nanoparticles are dispersed as a positive electrode. The antibacterial titanium implant of the present invention forms a porous coating layer which has silver (Ag) nanoparticles which are dispersed at 0.5 wt% or more on the surface. The present invention is able to manufacture the titanium implant which has a self-antibacterial ability by forming the coating layer which includes nanoparticles on the surface by dispersing the nanoparticles to electrolyte of a plasma electrolytic oxidation coating process.
