PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply-structured, low-cost, high-function method for cleaning air allowing the removal of all sizes and kinds of pollutants.SOLUTION: Polluted air is passed through a container into which stand-alone gels not performing blocking with another gel even after an absorbent resin absorbs water to swell are stuffed by closing up the stand-alone gels to form a gel aggregate, and is passed through gaps of the gel aggregate to be exhausted. Because the stand-alone gels coming into light contact with each other, the gel aggregate is bulky, and a lot of communicated gaps are present in the gel aggregate.
