PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel bar which can cut a small uneven part even of a sound dentin, as required, and can prevent the sound dentin from being cut too much to a dental pulp.SOLUTION: A handle portion 11 to be coupled removably with a hand piece is provided on the proximal end side, a working portion 12 having an edge for cutting teeth is provided at the distal end, and a tapered intermediate portion 13 is connecting the working portion and the handle portion. The steel bar is made by performing work hardening of austenite stainless steel through drawing and has a fibrous texture. The sound dentin can be prevented from being cut too much by etching the distal end portion of the working portion farther than the maximum diameter portion and rounding the edge thereby worsening the sharpness for the sound dentin though the sound dentin can be cut.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】 細かい凹凸の部分など、必要な場合には健全な象牙質でも切削できるが、健全な象牙質を突き抜けて歯随まで切削が達しないようなスチールバーを提供する。【解決手段】 基端側にハンドピースに着脱自在に結合される柄部11を有し、先端に歯を掘削するための刃の付いた作業部12を有し、該作業部と前記柄部との間を、テーパー状の中間部13で接続している。このスチールバーは、オーステナイト系ステンレススチールを伸線加工により加工硬化させ、ファイバー状組織としたものである。前記作業部の最大径から先端部をエッチング等により処理して、刃先を丸くし、健全な象牙質を切削できるが、切れ味を悪くして、削りすぎを防止することができる。【選択図】 図1
