A radiation-curable nail gel composition comprising (a) one or more of the following: i. a vinyl functional, urethane ii. a vinyl containing polyester and iii. a compound containing an ester which does not contain a hydroxyl group (b) at least one hydroxyl-containing monomer, oligomer, or solvent and (c) a photo initiator the radiation-curable gel nail coating composition comprising less than 10 ppm tin and a method comprising applying the composition to a finger or toe nail and curing it in the presence of UV radiation.
