PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which positions of connection parts between both side ends on a front part and both side ends on a rear part are deviated from right beside.SOLUTION: An exterior sheet of an underpants type disposable diaper has: an exterior sheet body 40 and an intermediate elastic member 45 for forming an intermediate gathering. The intermediate elastic member has: a front elastic member 45a jointed to a front part 401 and a rear elastic member 45b jointed to a rear part 403. A fixing ratio which is a ratio of a total sum of a length of a fixing part 452 jointed to the exterior sheet body with respect to a total sum of a length on plural intermediate elastic elements 451 on the front elastic member is different from the fixing ratio on the plural intermediate elastic elements on the rear elastic member. In a state of laterally extending the exterior sheet body, shrinkage force in a lateral direction of the front part on the front elastic member and shrinkage force on the rear part on the rear elastic member are different.
