PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of absorption capacity caused by forming a recessed groove, and to correct non-uniformity of body pressure applied to a polymer by uniformizing expansion of the polymer in the recessed groove when absorbing water.SOLUTION: An incontinence pad 1 includes: an absorber 4 in which a superabsorbent polymer 8 is dispersedly mixed, interposed between a liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 and a backside sheet 2 and a recessed groove 22 formed on a skin contact surface side along the longitudinal direction. The basis weight of the superabsorbent polymer 8 in an area B superposed on the recessed groove 22 is set higher than the basis weight of the superabsorbent polymer 8 in another area A.
