PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guide wire that improves rotation transmission performance to a distal end side of the medical guide wire and plastic deformation performance, and prevents a jamming phenomenon of coils in a parallel wire procedure.SOLUTION: An outer coil 13 is joined to a distal end of a core wire 11. A spring index C1 in the outer coil 13 and a torsional stress τ1 of an outer densely wound portion 13B are made to be within a constant range. An initial tension F1 of the outer densely wound portion 13B on a proximal side is increased so that rotation transmission performance to a distal end side is improved even when a coarsely wound portion is provided on the distal end side. A coil pitch Po of an outer coarsely wound portion 13A is made to be less than 2 times a diameter do of element wires 8A so that plastic deformation performance is improved, and coils are prevented from engaging with each other.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】医療用ガイドワイヤの先端側への回転伝達性能及び塑性変形性能を向上させるとともに、パラレルワイヤ手技におけるコイル同士の噛み込み現象を防ぐ医療用ガイドワイヤを提供する。【解決手段】芯線11の先端部に、外側コイル13を接合する。外側コイル13におけるばね指数C1と、外側密巻き部13Bのねじり応力τ1を一定範囲とする。手元側の外側密巻き部13Bの初張力F1を高めたことにより、先端側に疎巻き部が設けられた場合であっても、先端側への回転伝達性能が向上する。外側疎巻き部13AのコイルピッチPoを素線8Aの直径doの2倍未満とすることにより、塑性変形性能が向上し、コイル同士の噛み合いも無くなる。【選択図】 図2
