The present disclosure relates to a prosthesis, comprising a basis having an engagement surface configured to engage a chest portion with a wound area of a user； and comprising an emulator configured to be releasably connected to the basis and comprising an outer contour emulating a breast of the user, wherein the engagement surface of the basis comprises a shape that substantially complements the wound area to transfer a therapeutic compressive force to the wound area. The present disclosure furthermore relates to a method for applying a prosthesis in accordance with the present disclosure, said method comprising providing a basis having an engagement surface configured to engage a chest portion with a wound area of a user, wherein the engagement surface of the basis comprises a shape that substantially complements the wound area to transfer a therapeutic compressive force to the wound area； and providing an emulator configured to be releasably connected to the basis and comprising an outer contour emulating a breast of the user.
