Provided is a method which can assist the detection of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and a method which can assist the determination of the degree of progress of diseased states which are related to NASH, by a simple procedure which is extremely less invasive than liver biopsy and which does not depend on the skills of technical experts.The present invention provides a method of assisting the detection of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, the method comprising measuring the amount(s) of LDL-TG and/or ApoE rich HDL-C contained in a test blood sample separated from a living body. The present invention also provides a method of assisting the determination of the degree of progress of at least one diseased state selected from the group consisting steatosis, inflammation, ballooning and fibrosis, which diseased state is related to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, wherein the method comprises measuring the amount(s) of LDL-TG and/or ApoE rich HDL-C contained in a test blood sample separated from a living body.本發明係提供侵入性遠低於肝穿刺切片檢查,不用依存於技術員之技能,利用簡便操作便可輔助非酒精性脂肪肝炎(NASH)檢測的方法,以及可輔助判定NASH關聯病態之進行程度的方法。本發明所提供的非酒精性脂肪肝炎之檢測輔助方法,係包括檢測從活體分離的受檢血液試樣中所含的LDL-TG及/或ApoE rich HDL-C存在量。又,本發明所提供的輔助判定非酒精性脂肪肝炎關聯病態之進行程度方法,係包括檢測從活體分離的受檢血液試樣中所含的LDL-TG及/或ApoE rich HDL-C存在量,且係從脂肪變性、發炎、氣球狀變性、及纖維化所構成群組中選擇至少1種病態之進行程度。
