Described are methods and products useful for identifying subjects with Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP). A number of protein antigens secreted into culture filtrate by MAP are identified and binding proteins selective for these antigens are demonstrated to be useful for detecting subjects with MAP infections including subjects with Johnes disease.
