A loop type weeder suitable for wetlands for uprooting weeds and burying it soil is disclosed. The unit consists of the rotor 01, loop 02, shaft 03, spacer 04, frame 05 and handle 06. A wooden cylindrical drum with a central hole through its axis, and covered with Gi sheet on all sides called the rotor 01, with invrted U shaped loops 02 made with 3mm GI wire fxed on the periphery acts as the weeding assembly. The loops fixed in such a mannr that, the frst one at the centre, followed by two loops on sides again one at the centre and so on. A shaft 03 is passed through the centre hole on which the weeding assembly rotates freely. This shaft is mou±ted on frame 05 to which a long handle is welded 06. Spacers 04 are provides on both sides of the shaft between drum and frame so that free motion is attained. Weeding is achieved by the to and fro motion of the weeder between the plante. This motion of the weeder uproots the weeds and buries it in soil.
