A composition comprises (a) a continuous aqueous phase (b) an oily phase and (c) an amphiphilic emulsifying system comprising a block copolymer having the formula (A)p-(B)q-(C)r, in which (B)qis a hydrophilic block and (C)ris a hydrophobic block wherein p, q and r are integers with the proviso that: ifpis 0, then A is other than hydroxyl or reactive functional groups and the block copolymer is a diblock copolymer B and C are each individual repeating units ifpis >1, then the block copolymer is a triblock copolymer, in which (A)pis a hydrophobic block the hydrophobic blocks (A)pand (C)rare each homopolymers or heteropolymers the repeating units A and C are the same or different and wherein the ratioq/(p+r) is sufficient high so that the hydrophiliclipophilic balance value of the block copolymer is >10.本發明係關於一種由(a)一連續水相;(b)一油相;及(c)一兩性分子乳化系統所組成的合成物,該乳化系統為一種符合(A)p-(B)q-(C)r化學式的團聯共聚物。其中(B)q為親水基而(C)r為疏水基;p、q和r皆為整數,且如果p為0,則A必須不為羥基或反應官能基,而團聯共聚物為兩團聯共聚物;B和C則各為重覆單元;如果p大於1,則該團聯共聚物為三團聯共聚物,其(A)p為疏水基;而疏水基(A)p和(C)r各為均聚物或異聚物,重覆的A和C可以是相同或相異的單元;且其中q/(p+r)的比例需夠高,以使該團聯共聚物的親水親脂平衡值能夠大於10。
