PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which can reduce damage to an inner shaft by an end part of a metal marker high in rigidity by providing a buffer film between the metal marker excellent in radiopacity and the inner shaft made of resin.SOLUTION: In a balloon catheter, a buffer film 80 is provided between a metal marker 72 and an inner shaft 50, so that even when the balloon catheter is inserted in strongly-curved peripheral vessels, damage to the inner shaft 50 by an inner peripheral side end part 74 of the metal marker 72 with rigidity can be reduced. Also, since a length L1 in an axial direction of the buffer film 80 is larger than a length L2 in the axial direction of the metal marker 72, damage to the inner shaft 50 by an inner periphery of the metal marker 72 can be reduced by the buffer film 80 even when the inner periphery of the metal marker 72 is made rough.
