PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter in which a buffer film is provided between a metal marker which has preferable radiopacity and an inner shaft formed of a resin, for reducing damage to the inner shaft due to an end part of the metal marker having high rigidity.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter is configured so that, a buffer film 80 is provided between a metal marker 72 and an inner shaft 50, so that, even when the balloon catheter is inserted into a peripheral blood vessel having a large curve, damage to the inner shaft due to inner peripheral end parts 74a, 74b on the metal marker side having rigidity can be reduced. In addition, a length L1 in the axial direction of the buffer film is longer than a length L2 in the axial direction of the metal marker, so that, even when an inner periphery of the metal marker becomes rough, the buffer film can reduce damage to the inner shaft due to the inner periphery of the metal marker.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
