PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating bad odor gas and a method for the same are provided to prevent electric current efficiency from reducing. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for treating bad odor gas includes an electrolytic cell(10), a gas-liquid contact oxidation reactor(40), an anolyte reservoir(20), a catholyte reservoir(30), a heat exchanger(60), and a mist collecting unit(50). Bad odor gas with variety of components is simultaneously removed by a method for treating bad odor gas using an electro-activated catalyst oxidation process. The method includes the following steps of: electrochemically oxidizing an electro-activated catalyst on the anode surface of the electrolytic cell； oxidizing bad odor materials by injecting the oxidized electro-activated catalyst into the gas-liquid contact oxidation reactor； and collecting carbon dioxide, generated by the oxidation of the bad odor materials, into catholyte. [Reference numerals] (AA) Bad odor； (BB) Air； (CC) Exhaust air본 발명은 전기활성 촉매 산화 공정을 이용한 악취가스 처리장치 및 처리방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 악취가스 처리장치는, 본 발명의 악취가스 처리장치는, 전기활성 촉매를 산화시키는 양극(anode)실과 상기 양극실로부터 전자를 받아 음극액을 환원시키는 음극(cathode)실을 갖고, 상기 양극실 및 음극실 사이에 구비되는 격막을 가지는 전해셀； 전해셀을 통해 만들어진 전기활성 촉매 함유 양극액(anolyte)이 분사되고 분사된 전기활성 촉매와 악취가스의 기-액 접촉이 이루어져 악취가스 산화처리가 이루어지도록 하는 기-액접촉산화반응기； 기-액접촉산화반응기를 경유하면서 환원된 양극액을 다시 산화시키기 위해 전해셀의 양극실로 유입되도록 하는 양극액(anolyte)저장조； 음극액이 저장되고 저장된 음극액이 전해셀의 음극실을 거쳐 순환되도록 하는 음극액(catholyte)저장조； 양극액(anolyte)저장조 내의 양극액 온도를 설정된 온도 범위로 일정하게 유지시키는 열교환기； 및 기-액접촉산화반응기의 상부에 구비된 분해가스배출관에 연결되어 기-액접촉산화반응기로부터 배출되는 수분 및 전기활성 촉매를 포집하여 양극액저장조로 회수하는 미스트회수장치；를 포함하여 구성된다.
