PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood flow contacting medical member which additionally suppresses elution of a complex from a blood flow contacting surface and extends expression time of anti-thrombogenic effects longer, compared to the publicly known arts, by bonding the complex of a quaternary ammonium salt with heparin to the blood flow contacting surface of the blood flow contacting medical member more firmly, facilitates priming by increasing hydrophilicity of the blood flow contacting surface, and facilitates priming especially in constituents having shapes to disrupt a blood flow easily, and a method of manufacturing the blood flow contacting medical member.

SOLUTION: The blood flow contacting medical member which is processed by irradiating the complex of the quaternary ammonium salt with the heparin coating the blood flow contacting surface of the blood flow contacting medical member with ultraviolet and the method of manufacturing the blood flow contacting medical member are provided.
