The data collection unit includes a light deflector, an interferometer and a detector. The light deflector is configured to be able to deflect, two-dimensionally, measurement light shone onto an eye being inspected. The interferometer is configured so as to cause the return of the measurement light from the eye being inspected to interfere with reference light. The detector is configured so as to detect interference light generated by the interferometer. Due to such elements, the data collection unit is configured so as to collect data of a three-dimensional region of the eye being inspected, including at least a portion of the cornea. The processing unit calculates an evaluation value expressing the state of the cornea endothelium, by processing the data collected by the data collection unit.
