The invention relates to an apparatus (18) and a method for receiving a syringe into a fluid-dispensing apparatus (21) in a play-free manner, said apparatus comprising at least two clamping elements (3"), which can be resiliently preloaded and which grip the plunger flange of a syringe, wherein an elongated hole is provided for each clamping element (3"), in which elongated hole the clamping element slides and thus performs a rotational motion and a translational motion simultaneously during the gripping process. The invention further relates to a method therefor and a device having such an apparatus.
