The present invention relates to an implantable device for moulding the curvature of the cornea, which comprises a substantially circular structure with a convex surface provided with apertures for biological exchange between the layers of the cornea, said substantially circular structure having the format of a circular segment or of a spherical/aspherical dome optionally provided with a central opening. The device in question also comprises means for promoting modelling of the cornea in order that the latter can acquire the curvature closest to that desired, thereby providing a significant reduction in visual disturbances caused by corneal ectasias, such as keratoconus.La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo implantable para moldear la curvatura de la córnea que comprende una estructura sustancialmente circular con la superficie convexa provista de aberturas para intercambio biológico entre las capas de la córnea, dicha estructura es sustancialmente circular y comprende el formato de un segmento circular o de un domo esférico/asférico provisto con una abertura central； el dispositivo en cuestión también comprende medios para promover el modelado de la córnea para que la misma pueda adquirir la curvatura más cercana a la deseada, con lo cual se proporciona una reducción significativa de los trastornos visuales causados por las ectasias de la córnea tal como los queratoconos.
