For instance, an expansion type implant 10 that is inserted inside the centrum and/or between two vertebrae to retain and/or restore a space therein or therebetween is provided. According to one embodiment, the implant 10 includes mechanical resistance for, once the implant is expanded, preventing contraction of the expansion type implant.
