PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair traveller that prevents a serious danger of its overturning backward when the wheelchair traveller is at rest with its brake applied.SOLUTION: The wheelchair traveller is provided with: a frame comprising a seat 21, a backrest 25 and wheels 30, and supporting these wheels and seat an adjustment means 57 to adjust the angle of a backrest, a brake means to regulate the rotation of the wheels and an operation means 42 to operate the brake means, and a wheelchair overturn preventive means to prevent its overturn by getting contact with the ground surface at least at a position behind the rear wheels of wheelchair traveller.
