The installation has a vegetation substrate (17) comprising a puzzalona layer (19), where sedum type plants (21) are planted in the vegetation substrate. A control unit controls an irrigation device and a fertilizer supplying device, so that the vegetation substrate has moisture included in a range of values, and salinity comprised in an interval of values. The irrigation device and the fertilizer supplying device are connected to a moisture measuring system. The salinity of the vegetable substrate is evaluated using a sensor marketed under the name of TRISCAN(RTM: salinity sensor).
