PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spreading type wearing article that is excellent in operability regardless of a material of a fastening tape.SOLUTION: A fastening tape 5 has a base material 51 and a fastening part 50 that fastens the material to other members. The base material 51 includes a body overlapping part 52 that overlaps an article body 2 in plane view and an extension part 53 that extends from the article body 2, with the fastening part 50 provided on the extension part 53. In the body overlapping part 52, there are intermittently arranged vertically X a plurality of thin wall parts 54 that are recessed from a peripheral part. In the plurality of thin wall parts 54 respectively, on one side in at least a vertical direction X, a thick wall part 55 thicker than the thin wall parts 54 exists adjacently to the thin wall parts 54.
