PURPOSE: A composition containing a Chrysanthemum indicum extract for preventing or treating cancer is provided to suppress STAT3 signal transduction. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing or treating prostate cancer or multiple myeloma contains a Chrysanthemum indicum extract as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared using methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, hexane, butanol, methylene chloride, water, or a mixture thereof. The extract suppresses STAT3 activity and JAK1 and JAK2 phosphorylation.본 발명은 야국(Chrysanthemum indicum) 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 암의 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 야국 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 암 예방 및 치료용 약제학적 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명은 야국 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 암 예방 또는 개선용 식품 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명의 조성물은 STAT3 신호전달 과정을 억제함으로써 암 예방 및 치료에 뛰어난 효과를 나타낸다.
