To provide a soil feeder capable of falling stock soil to a front end part of a seedling box carried in by keeping fed soil in stock temporary, for increasing an amount of soil supplied to the front end part of the seedling box.SOLUTION: A soil feeder comprises: a transport conveyor on which a seedling box N is mounted for transporting it； a soil feeding belt mechanism 5 having a soil feeding belt 5A wound to front and rear rollers 4F, 4R above the transport conveyor for falling and feeding soil into the seedling box N； and a hopper mechanism 8 provided above the soil feeding belt 5A, rotates an agitation member 7 in a funnel-shaped hopper body 6 for feeding the soil to the soil feeding belt 5A.
