PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide skin external preparations having a collagen gel shrinkage promoting effect and anti-glycation action, and capable of preventing or improving skin elasticity, suppleness, sagging, and wrinkles by application to the skin.SOLUTION: The present invention provides the proteoglycan obtained from salmon nasal cartilage by acetic acid extraction, the proteoglycan having a collagen gel contraction promotion effect in a normal human dermal fibroblast collagen-embedded culture system and further having a concentration-dependent anti-saccharification effect in a collagen anti-saccharification assay kit and a skin external preparation containing 0.01 to 1 mass% of the proteoglycan and exerting antiaging effects, such as a wrinkle improvement and antiaging.
