An assembly for agitating or mixing material. The assembly includes a flexible bag having a wall and defining an interior for containing the material. The assembly also includes a rigid carrier disposed on an exterior of the bag and a bearing disposed on the interior of the bag adjacent to the carrier. The assembly also includes a mixing element disposed on the interior of the bag and rotatably supported on the bearing. The assembly further includes a motor drive unit disposed on the exterior of the bag adjacent to the carrier for rotating the mixing element.
