<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a simple apparatus for culturing Pleuronectiformes fish (flat fish), which are capable of promoting growing the fish. <；P>；SOLUTION: The method and the apparatus S for culturing Pleuronectiformes fish in a water tank 1 are as follows: The apparatus S includes a light source 10 which irradiates the fish with light free from such a red-color component having a strongest wavelengths W: 400 nm&le；W&le；600 nm, out of wavelengths W, and the water tank 1 designed to block light except the light emitted from the light source 10.
